Equipment
It consists of two areas: transcriptomics area and Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) area and also offers services from DNA and RNA quality control through platforms such as Synergy2, Nanodrop1000, Qubit 2.0 or TapeStation 4200 to more technologies. complex.
In the area of transcriptomics there are two Affymetrix array platforms: GeneTitan, which allow to make transcripts of whole genome or GWAS in plate format (16, 24, 96 samples) and the GeneChipSystem platform that allows to work with smaller and individual formats and also analyze whole genome transcriptional profiles, gene dose analysis,…. Nanostring’s nCounter platform is also available for analyzing gene expression or dose profiles, a technology that gives very good results in samples extracted from FFPE. There’s also the qPCR platform, Fluidigm’s BioMark, a real-time PCR that allows for expression analysis, number of copies, and digital PCR.
The NGS area has the MiSeq platform where gene or microbiome panel sequencing projects are developed. A NextSeq 2000 has recently been incorporated to incorporate RNASeq, WES, gene panel analysis and microbiome protocols. A fragmenter, Covaris S220, is also available to set up samples for further processing and a pyromarker, Pyromark Q24, to analyze the presence of an allele or the state of methylation.
Finally, there is a liquid robot, Biomek FX from Beckman, which has two heads, one for 96 and the other for 8 samples to automate different technologies.
