Base de dades bibliogràfica de governança global
GINYS-IBEI-001
The "Global Governance Bibliographic Database" provides an interactive open-access dashboard to explore, visualize, and export publication data on global governance literature.
The user-friendly database interface puts a special focus on exploring demographic characteristics contained in the database, such as scholars' gender or regional providence. We thus hope to make an important contribution to making the field of global governance scholarship more diverse, by a) highlighting persistent inequalities and concentrations in publication patterns, and b) allowing students, scholars, and other interested audiences to quickly identify literature from marginalized groups, so they can make their syllabi, reading lists, or literature reviews more representative, inclusive, and diverse.
Serveis
The database contains more than 5,000 articles on global governance, from 1980 until 2021. Besides basic publication information (title, abstract, journal, etc.), the data provides additional information on the article (topic, scope, …) and on the author(s) demographics (gender, place of academic activity, …) This makes it a useful tool for anyone interested in exploring publication patterns and trends, or finding specific studies on certain subjects or by certain scholars, regions, eras, disciplines.
Equipament
The underlying database builds on an original research project by Jacint Jordana, Adam Holesch, Charles Roger, and Lewin Schmitt (all IBEI). While the original research from 2020 culminated in a publication, this project aims to make additional use of the collected data by sharing it with the public.
