Chemical reaction technologies
GINYS-ICIQ-008
The Chemical Reaction Technologies Unit makes available to the user a wide range of techniques to carry out chemical reactions under different conditions (high pressure, microwaves, flow reactions, photochemistry), enables the scaling up of reactions, and offers non-intrusive techniques for monitoring reactions in situ. At the same time, the Unit also offers the use of a clean room, a laboratory prepared to carry out photosensitive reactions and two laboratories to carry out reactions under pressure (up to 80 bar) equipped with reactive gases in line and all the necessary safety systems.
Services
• Pressure reactions with reactive gases• Reactions at atmospheric pressure• Reactions scale up (maximum 6l)• Microwave reactions• Reactions with supercritical CO2• Reactions using ozone• Photochemical reactions• Continuous flow reactions• Use of the flash chromatograph• Monitoring of reactions by non-intrusive systems• Use of the clean room (class C or ISO 7)• Use of the dark laboratory to work with photosensitive compounds
Equipment
• Wide collection of pressure reactors• System of parallel pressurized reactors• Pressure reactor for monitoring reactions by IR• NMR tube for pressure reactions• Supercritical CO2 reactor• Laboratory chemical reactor for scale-up (0.6-6 l)• Microwave reactors• Photochemical reactor• Monochromatic light source with fiber optic output• Continuous flow reactors• Continuous flow reactor for hydrogenation reactions• Preparative flash chromatography system• Ball mill• Ozone generator
