The Cytometry and Cell Sorting Facility has
the mission of making available to the research community cutting-edge
technologies and technical personnel specialized in the field of flow cytometry
and cell sorting, offering its services both to IIS-IDIBAPS personnel and to
other external entities, especially R&D centers, public or private.
To do this,
we have a 62m2 cytometry room in which 3 digital cytometers and 1 analog cytometer
are located, and a 44m2 cell sorting room with 2 digital cell sorters.
The Facility
staff consist of a coordinator, a senior technician and 2 junior technicians;
all of them full-time, organized so that the Facility works uninterruptedly
from 8h to 20h, to assimilate as many experiments as possible. The staff has
proven experience in the field of flow cytometry and cell sorting.
We offer a
wide range of applications in flow cytometry and develop or implement new ones
depending on researchers needs.
We provide
training, as well as technical knowledge and advice for experimental design, analysis,
and data management.
