The DNA Capillary Sequencing Facility provides support to CRAG researchers as well as external customers from public and private institutions.
We offer the sequencing reaction, purification and analysis; running samples sequenced and purified by the customer; and genotyping (microsatellites, SNaPshot, SNP’s, SNPlex, AFLPs).

Equipment
ABI 3730 DNA Analyzer
We use an ABI 3730 DNA Analyzer for capillary electrophoresis (48 capil·lars) and fluorescent dye terminator detection. The sequencing reaction is usually carried out with the BigDye ®Terminator technology. For difficult samples we use dGTP BigDye ®Terminator technology.
The fluorophores that can be detected are: dR110, dR6G, dTAMRA, dROX, 6FAM, VIC, NED, PET, HEX, LIZ
